Sound Exprorer SL-990, using 211 tube as power tube. Can be changed to 845. Sound is great, powerful, detail, silent, no noise, no hum. Output is about 15W/channel.

You are looking at special order made tube amplifier manufactured by Sound Exprorer, model SL-990. It uses 211 tubes as power tube, pre-stage is 12AU7 tubes, secondary is EL-34. Sound is great for both Classical and Jazz music. Stereo amplifier with output about 15W per channel. It can drive almost speaker.

211 tube is very good tube for music amplifier, because of powerful and sweet sound it is called the king of tube. But it is difficult to make amplifier. It can be worked at its best at 1000V B+ volt. It need at least 10Kohm output transformer. It can be use at 500V B+ but the sound will be lack of power. In this amplifier it is working at 1000V B+ so if you dont know about electric, dont touch to it. IF you want maintenance , ask professional do it for you. All parts are the best ones. Transformers are TANGO made, condenser is Sprague, Kemicon vv..v

Power electric is 100V, you have to use step down transformer if you want to use in 220V area.
